hi – Weekend

OutlineTourDates and PricesPhotosBooking

This is our new and unique, quick and fantastic Alpine break. We start Friday afternoon in Munich and get back Sunday evening. The time between is spent on a bike -apart from Saturday evening, of course! 2 days, up to two groups of a maximum of 4 bikers each, the most fantastic  scenery, passes, freedom and fun!

You can expect approximately 600 km of pure enjoyment.

Depending on ability we either bomb down the motorway from Munich to hit those passes straight away or we cruise through the Alpine foothills to get used to the bike. Passes are plentiful, some with never ending hairpin bends, others with one or two. You choose which you prefer, we’ll guide you wherever you want. The main thing is to have fun, stay dry and have the weekend of a lifetime!

Our previous hi-weekend tours include the following:

Have a look at stuff you need to bring.

On this page we try to give more details for the 6-day tour. However, we’d like to point out once more that we offer flexible tours. We reserve the freedom to react to adverse weather conditions, traffic and wishes and expectations of the group.

Friday

We either pick you up from the airport (there is a rather decent place to hang out in while you wait) or meet at our hotel at 18.00 hrs. Once you are in your rooms and have freshened up we’re off to one of Munich’s famous beer halls to discuss the tour, go through general DOs and DONTs of riding in a group and how to handle hairpins and get to know each other over a hearty Bavarian meal and a proper lager or two.

Saturday

Having established what you want/expect from us we set off early to beat the rest of them to the top. We’ll ride to your heart’s content mastering either the Alp’s most (in)famous passes or cruise the beautiful foothills while carefully avoiding anything that may look like rain or bad weather. There is time for the odd photo/cigarette/coffee break. Round about five or sixish we’ll hit the hotel to have a cold one and get ready for a well deserved meal.

We like to spend our Saturday evenings in picturesque towns. If you haven’t yet tasted typical Austrian or Italian cuisine (NOT the stuff you get at home) you’ve got something to look forward to. We’ll talk about our experiences eye to eye, give tips on how to improve your handling and conversely about your wishes for the next day and round off the evening in a homely atmosphere.

Sunday

After breakfast to set ourselves up the the day we’re off again at a more reasonable time and will start the engines round about nine or ten. Depending on the weather and your wishes we will find a wonderful route back to Munich. There are so many fantastic roads which conform to our motto – the journey is the reward. Let’s do it

At the end heart rending scenes will occur, tears will be wiped and the days ’til our next tour will be counted.
