6 days, up to two groups of a maximum of 4 bikers each, fantastic passes and scenery, freedom and fun!
You can expect 1,500 km of pure enjoyment.
We will guide you to the best places in our beloved Alps and spend great evenings in authentic local restaurants together. During the day there will be plenty of time for the odd photo shoot, a coffee, breaks to enjoy the stunning landscape or to stand in awe in front of a special place (such as a waterfall, for example) and let it sink in. Riding a bike may be strenuous for the body but the soul will feel rejuvenated and we guarantee a lot of fun and charged batteries after our tour!
Previous 6 day hi-motorbike tours include:
Have a look at stuff you need to bring.
We either pick you up from the airport (there is a rather decent place to hang out in while you wait) or meet at our hotel at 18.00 hrs. Once you are in your rooms and have freshened up we’re off to one of Munich’s famous beer halls to discuss the tour, go through general DOs and DONTs of riding in a group, what to expect and get to know each other over a hearty Bavarian meal and a proper lager or two.
In the morning we’ll pack our stuff and collect the bikes. Then it is off via the world famous Autobahn to the Alpine foothills (where we can go either slow or otherwise) with their wonderful curvy roads less than an hour’s ride from Munich to practice a few turns and get used to conditions and the bike, if applicable. Depending on the weather we either head east towards Upper Austria, south towards the Dolomites or south-west towards Bolzano.
If none of those are an option weather wise we will find another great solution. Up north we have the Bavarian Forest and the Bohemian Forest at our disposal. Satisfaction not guaranteed? We wanted to cruise the Alps? We are talking about national parks here with mountains which dwarf Ben Nevis and roads dreams are made of. Anyway, chances are that the weather during a 6 day tour will improve enabling us to cruise the Alps asap.
By now you should have a feel for the task at hand and it is time to tackle some gentle passes off the beaten track. As we’ve stated before it is our aim to enjoy the tarmac and not get stuck in traffic jams or get surprised by the weather.
Time for some hairpin bends! Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden one before. We’ll be at your side, taking it slow and if necessary will stand at the roadside watching your technique and giving you tips to perfect your style. As always, safety and enjoyment for the whole group is our primary concern.
More of the same. For those who have aches and pains from the previous days’ efforts it is an ideal opportunity to have a city break in for example Graz, Verona or Bolzano or simply chill in one of Italy’s or Austria’s many spas.
Time to head north again taking in more fantastic Alpine passes, enjoy the scenery and have a last beer together.
We’re off to Munich to give back the bikes, if appropriate. We’ll then get your stuff so you can be off to the airport or go wherever your fancy takes you.
At the end heart rending scenes will occur, tears will be wiped and the days ’til our next tour will be counted.
